The Gazelle Chamonix S8 can serve equally well as a lightweight city bike and a sporty touring bike, allowing you to fully enjoy your daily commute as well as long touring distances. Gazelle's designers have selected lightweight aluminium for the two versions, the robust high-entry frame and the elegant low-entry frame, ensuring an excellent ride and ease of use.
The Gazelle Chamonix bike includes innovative technologies that make every ride smooth and light, wheter you are cycling to work or taking a long tour.
Lightweight aluminium frame
The sporty and lightweight aluminium frame of the Chamonix is designed for optimal comfort and performance. With a seat tube angle of 71.5° and a head tube angle of 70.5°, it makes for an active upright sitting position. This means you can ride longer distances with ease and without suffering from back or shoulder pain.
Hydraulic disc brakes
The powerful hydraulic disc brakes are another strength of the Chamonix S8. They provide excellent stopping power in all weather conditions. Whether you are riding in the rain or making a steep descent, you will always have full control of your speed and safety.
Adjustable stem
With the Chamonix' adjustable stem, you can always find the perfect sitting position. This not only increases your cycling comfort but also helps to reduce fatigue on long rides. It is a handy feature that makes the bike suitable for short city rides as well as long trips.
Innovative suspension system
The integrated suspension in the front fork ensures a comfortable ride at all times. This system absorbs shocks and vibrations from the road surface, allowing you to ride smoothly and steadily regardless of road conditions.
With all these advanced technologies, the Gazelle Chamonix S8 is not only a practical choice but also a smart investment in your cycling enjoyment.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this bike!
I’ve been using my bike for a month now and I’m very happy with it. It’s a comfortable and well-equipped bike; it feels sturdy and is of high quality. It’s quiet to ride, too. I’ve noticed that I’m reaching for my bike more and more often now because it’s such a pleasure to ride. I haven’t found any real drawbacks yet. The bike is quite heavy, but that’s not a major drawback and I was aware of it beforehand.
Pros & Cons

Despite a single flaw, definitely recommended.
Rides fine and light, but the bike's weight is a bit too high in my opinion. If you also ride a road bike, the soft gel saddle is not a great success either. Otherwise, the bike is very well equipped and all parts work smoothly and properly. Both the advice from Mantel and the home delivery were excellent.

Gazelle stelt mij nooit teleur.
Wat ik van gazelle gewend ben, gewoon weer een degelijke fiets met een hoogwaardige uitstraling en fietst ook nog eens prettig.

Reasonable price-to-quality ratio.
-
Reliable, but noiseless.
-
A real heavyweight though...
-
Too soft saddle for a real bike.
